Mayan pirograbados  on skin in the region of the "Lacandona" forest southern of Mexico, are made on leather by our handcraftmen to imprint some motives regarding the mayan culture which are still in arqueological sites.
the weist loom is a symbol of the life of the zinacantan mayas woman.Whith the loom tied whit strap around her waist and of the other to a tree weaver is an integral part of the lomm. Thus, it has a vital connection with the natures. This old tradition goes generally of  mother or grandmother to the girls.

The  sound of people ponding pulp into  amate paper   can be heard  echoing off the hills around the town in Puebla .The color and grain of the paper depends on the bark used to make it. The typical coffee color comes from dhe Jonote tree (ficus family), white from de Xalama, and the silvery beige color from the Mora (mulberry family)., to name just a few varieties. . Years of practice let the Otomi artisans make different sizes and thicknesses-from posters-board to crepe-paper weight
